We are the Southside Virginia Jazz Society located in Clarksville, Virginia. Our aim is to enrich the lives of others with a musical experience through Jazz. We will bring local Jazz information to you, by posting upcoming events, advertising clinics, and providing links to regional Jazz sites. Visit again soon as our calendar is always changing to accommodate those interested in Jazz.

Jazz Festival

Jazz by the Lake Festival May 17-18
at Occoneechee State Park in Clarksville, Va.


Featuring: 18-piece Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra
                18 piece U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble

Plus jazz quartets (including the Joshua Walker Quartet from Charlottesville), high school and university jazz groups, a Piedmont blues singer and jazz vocalist Katahy Gelb. The event is free with a $5 per car parking fee to enter Occoneechee State Park.

Beautiful Lakeside amphitheater with bleacher seating or BYO chair. Refreshments available. (Details here)

The SouthsidevaJazz Society is now
incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corp. and has applied for the federal tax free 501.3c designation. New officers were elected.
